Iron Love II - Water & Iron
Scene 1 - White Noise & Black Music
Beneath the dancefloor where Yemaya and Ogun meet,
Where bed time stories are sung by the galloping of intent feet,
A dreamy drizzle drums an applause
to welcome the downpour
This similar,
to deafening silence.
White noise to some,
but black magic in the music
for those who hear to feel.
Resounding heart bleats under my galvanized chest
No need to count sheep
The melody of iron and
water beats me to sleep.
Scene 2 - Overflow
Now I live beneath gnomes instead of giants
I lay awake as restless spirits stomp away the silence
Iron now encased in a cage of concrete
Barred access to melody of feet
still water
finds Her way to me-
-et Anoint my stomach
Tickling as u trickle down my feet
Drops greet my galvanized chest
And quite contrarily ask how does my garden grow
Its raining inside
-et i plunge Feet first off the bed
breached.
Back to bed but on the couch
How to start monday in a flooded house
One i cannot begin to clean until the drops subside from above
I Receive the blessing of my neighbours neglect
abundance meets play
at a time i am bereft
